The personal information / data provided to us by you during the course of usage of SM will be treated as confidential and in accordance with the Privacy policy and applicable laws and regulations including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. If you object to your information being transferred or used, please do not use the website or Webapp or App.
Name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, educational qualifications, occupation, caste/sub-caste, gotra, rashi, nakshatra, photograph, and any other profile information you voluntarily provide.

All personal data collected by SM is stored on servers located within the territory of India (Google Cloud — asia-south1, Mumbai). SM does not transfer personal data outside India except where required by law or with your explicit consent.
SM shall safeguard sensitive user information using security standards, authentication mechanisms, access controls and encryption techniques. However, SM cannot guarantee the complete protection of user data while it is in transit, or prevent any tampering of the data by a third party with malicious intent before the data reaches the SM servers.
Account Deletion — Your Right under DPDP Act 2023 & Google Play Data Safety Policy
In compliance with Google Play Data Safety policies, SM provides a clear, accessible, and permanent account deletion mechanism within the App's settings. A user can voluntarily initiate an "Absolute Account Deletion" request. Upon confirmation, SM shall permanently purge and erase the user's entire profile, authentication records, photos, usage metrics, and associated personal information from Firestore and primary production databases within 30 days.
To initiate deletion: Navigate to Settings → Delete My Account in the app, or email Sahyadrimatrimonyapp@gmail.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".
By using our services, you provide your explicit, informed consent to the processing of your personal data under the DPDP Act 2023. This consent is captured digitally with a timestamp and is stored securely in your account record.
Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent will result in immediate suspension of services and restriction of data processing. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To withdraw consent, use Settings → DPDP & Data Rights → Withdraw Data Processing Consent in the app, or email Sahyadrimatrimonyapp@gmail.com with subject "Consent Withdrawal".
